Balancing Act: The Plan

Right now, I am balancing my writing career with my job at The Inn and my sister and her boys. It is not always easy, but all is good 🙂 Things will change again when I find an apartment. Until then, this is my plan:

  1. Spend what days I can at the library, hoping I get at least one day there per week. Hopefully more.

  2. Stay on track with my Examiner.com channels – 6 articles per week.

  3. Pick back up with my Frugal Food column – once every 2 weeks.

  4. 3 blog posts per week here, on the Frugal Recipes blog and on The Fitness Journal.

  5. Post to Living the Low-Income Life once every 2 weeks.

  6. Outline eCourses, eBooks, Mini eBooks, eCookbooks and Special Reports to be written when I have more time to concentrate on them.

  7. On days I work at The Inn: Try to get home early enough to walk a little before dark, so can come inside and work on writing tasks each evening.

How do you balance a day/night job with your writing career? Do you have any tricks to share? Advice?

Hello. My name is Shannon, and I'm a single mother of two young adult daughters, and Memay to one precious Little Man. I work as a writer from my home in Orono, Maine, and as a Front Desk Agent at an inn. Writing is my life, second only to my daughters. I enjoy writing nonfiction, as well as fiction in a number of genres. At some point, I would like to travel. It would be a true writing adventure.
