Freelance Writers: Do You Have Other Goals?

I know. I know. Isn’t enough to just have freelance goals? Yes, it is. I am wondering if anyone else has other goals for their future as well.

I do.

Photography

I love nature photography, and would like to build a career around this on top of my freelance writing. I don’t want it to feel like work, though, so I wish to keep it simple. I will continue to photograph nature when I am out-and-about, and will look for venues for selling the photographs that I take.

Author

This may be common among freelance writers. I am working on writing fiction books when I am not concentrating on freelance writing. I currently have three books of short stories in the works. I love writing these stories, and have published a couple for people to read:

Alone

The Woods

I am interested in what goals other freelance writers are working toward and what their current projects are, outside of their freelance careers.

About Shannon L. Buck

Hello. My name is Shannon, and I'm a single mother of two young adult daughters, and Memay to one precious Little Man. I work as a writer from my home in Orono, Maine, and as a Front Desk Agent at an inn. Writing is my life, second only to my daughters. I enjoy writing nonfiction, as well as fiction in a number of genres. At some point, I would like to travel. It would be a true writing adventure.
