Write Elsewhere

Image via Wikipedia

If you find yourself with a case of writers block, or unable to concentrate for whatever reason, try working somewhere else. This tactic often works for me. I can, generally speaking, work anywhere. I have worked in most of the places listed here.

  1. On the bed.

  2. On the sofa.

  3. At the kitchen table.

  4. At the library.

  5. At the park.

  6. At a playground.

  7. At the beach.

  8. Upstairs in a garage.

  9. In a hotel room.

  10. By the river.

The point here is that there are plenty of places where you might work, that do not require a desk.

About Shannon L. Buck

Hello. My name is Shannon, and I'm a single mother of two young adult daughters, and Memay to one precious Little Man. I work as a writer from my home in Orono, Maine, and as a Front Desk Agent at an inn. Writing is my life, second only to my daughters. I enjoy writing nonfiction, as well as fiction in a number of genres. At some point, I would like to travel. It would be a true writing adventure.

  1. True. I love the mountains here in Maine. Have never written on one, but am working on two books of short stories based on the mountain where my family owns land.
